Abstract:
Egypt produces fruits and vegetables for both local consumption and export.
The total area of vegetables is about double the fruit area.
The total income from both represents about 30 % of total agricultural income.
The total export value for horticultural products is about a third of the total value of agricultural products.
Fruits and vegetables are marketed by the private sector.
There are many marketing problems and constraints.
Co-operatives can play a great role in the area of marketing fruits and vegetables especially in the area of finance.
