Abstract:
Callus and cell cultures of two cucumber cultivars «Borszczagowski» and «Gy-3» were challenged with different concentrations (1%–15%) of the cell-free culture filtrate (CF) of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cucumerinum race OG-1 and OG-1, FOCR-1. The resistant callus lines were isolated on 5% CF and screened on 6% and 7% of CF. Selected cultures could be isolated also from both.
Moreover one cell colony could be survived on 1.25%. CF of race OG-1, FORC-1 also lived on 2.5% CF and could regenerate on 7% CF of race OG-1, FOCR-1. The regenerated plants which were transferred to greenhouse showed various morphological variations.
Their progenies are under study for detecting their ghenetic background of F. oxysporum f.sp. cucumerinum resistance.
