RAAP Archeologisch Adviesbureau heeft in juni 2012 een archeologische begeleiding uitgevoerd in plangebied Heereweg 213-217 in de gemeente Lisse.
Het veldonderzoek is in twee fasen uitgevoerd: In de eerste fase is een begeleiding van de sloopwerkzaamheden uitgevoerd. Hierbij is ter hoogte van de reeds verwijderde kelder, direct ten zuiden van de bestaande funderingen, met de hand één proefsleuf (put 1) met een maximale lengte van 4,5 m en een maximale breedte van 0,7 m aangelegd, In de tweede fase is centraal in de bouwput één proefsleuf met een lengte van 9 m en een breedte van circa 1,75 m aangelegd.
Tijdens het onderzoek zijn in totaal 5 (natuurlijke) bodemlagen en 4 archeologisch relevante grondsporen aangetroffen. In het gehele plangebied is een humeuze zandlaag aanwezig met een sterk wisselende dikte. Hierin zijn kleibrokken en (bouw)puin aangetroffen. • De archeologische sporen zijn allemaal aangetroffen in put 1 en betreffen verschillende stukken baksteen in verband. De muurelementen zijn direct (in het geval van spoor 4) onder de huidige funderingen aangetroffen. Mogelijk zijn de huidige funderingen bovenop de oudere funderingen geplaatst. De muur- of funderingsresten bestaan uit circa 2,7 m lange, oost-west georiënteerde baan van gemetselde bakstenen. Daarbovenop ligt een muur bestaande uit vier tot vijf lagen gemetselde baksteen. De bakstenen waren in redelijke tot slechte kwaliteit. Een deel van de muurresten is reeds verstoord door de aanleg van de huidige funderingen. De funderingen kunnen op basis van hun ligging en baksteenformaat globaal gedateerd worden in de Nieuwe tijd (17e t/m 19e eeuw).
