In opdracht van Buro Hoogstraat heeft ADC ArcheoProjecten een bureauonderzoek en een inventariserend veldonderzoek uitgevoerd voor het plangebied Woudhuizerweg 82 in Apeldoorn (gemeente Apeldoorn). In het plangebied zal een landgoed worden ingericht. Het onderzoek was noodzakelijk om te bepalen of bij de voorgenomen activiteiten de kans bestaat dat archeologische resten in de ondergrond worden aangetast.Op basis van het bureauonderzoek worden in het plangebied archeologische resten verwacht uit alle periodes. Archeologische waarden vanaf het Mesolithicum worden verwacht in het kleidek en in de top van de dekzandafzettingen. Oudere waarden kunnen in de top van de grofzandige smeltwaterafzettingen worden aangetroffen. De kans op het aantreffen van resten is klein. Het plangebied lag in een relatief nat gebied op de oostelijke flank van de Veluwe-stuwwal. Er zijn zeer weinig waarnemingen in de omgeving gedaan. Een monument waar resten uit het Mesolithicum zijn aangetroffen ligt hoger dan het plangebied. Het plangebied ligt echter wel gunstiger dan lagere gebieden ten oosten ervan.De archeologische resten bestaan hoofdzakelijk uit aardewerk- of vuursteenstrooiïngen. Organische resten en bot zullen door de relatief zure bodemomstandigheden slecht zijn geconserveerd. Het complextype en de omvang kunnen niet nader worden gespecificeerd door de beperkte gegevens. geconserveerd.Uit het booronderzoek is gebleken dat het plangebied is gelegen in een smeltwatervlakte. Er is geen IJsselkleidek of zanddek uit de laatste ijstijd aangetroffen. In het grootste deel van het plangebied is een A-C-profiel aangetroffen. Er zijn geen tussenliggende bodemhorizonten waargenomen. Mogelijk zijn deze opgenomen in de bouwvoor. Het is ook denkbaar dat door de hoge gemiddelde grondwaterspiegel geen bodemvorming is opgetreden. In een aantal boringen is ook een niveau onder de bouwvoor omgewerkt. De diepte van deze verstoring varieert sterk.Er zijn geen aanwijzingen voor archeologische waarden in het plangebied aanwezig. Er zijn in het grootste deel van het plangebied geen indicaties gevonden voor bodemverstoring. Sporen kunnen derhalve nog worden aangetroffen in de top van de C-horizont. Het plangebied is echter laaggelegen en vormde door de hoge gemiddelde grondwaterspiegel een weinig aantrekkelijke vestigingslocatie.ADC ArcheoProjecten adviseert om in het plangebied geen aanvullend archeologisch onderzoek uit te voeren. Wat betreft de archeologie is er geen belemmering om het terrein vrij te geven voor de voorgenomen ontwikkeling. Het is echter niet volledig uit te sluiten dat binnen het onderzochte gebied toch nog archeologische resten voorkomen. Het verdient daarom aanbeveling om de uitvoerder van het grondwerk te wijzen op de plicht archeologische vondsten te melden bij het bevoegde overheid, zoals aangegeven in de Monumentenwet.
