Abstract

A visual type of static apparatus, which is featured by inclusion of a specially designed sampling device, was developed. Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibria for binary and ternary systems: CO2-pentane, CO2-heptane and CO2-pentane-heptane were determined at 343K and at pressures up to 10.76MPa. The experimental results are in good agreement with those predicted by the Peng-Robinson equation of state employing the binary interaction parameters, which were calculated from the method developed by the authors.
