Resumen

El objetivo de este estudio es explorar las diferencias en el malestar psicológico de adultos jóvenes en función de factores socioeconómicos: sexo, miedo al delito, confianza generalizada, victimización y satisfacción con la democracia. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, transversal, exploratorio y descriptivo con 937 participantes de Ecuador, España y México, quienes respondieron el CORE-10 (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation-10) y un cuestionario sobre condiciones de vida. Se realizaron análisis no paramétricos de diferencias entre grupos. Se encontraron diferencias significativas en Ecuador con los factores victimización indirecta, confianza generalizada y miedo al delito; en España con victimización directa, confianza generalizada y miedo al delito; y en México con sexo, confianza generalizada, miedo al delito y satisfacción con la democracia. Los hallazgos respaldan la idea de que la adversidad psicosocial puede incidir en el bienestar psicológico. Estos resultados pueden tener implicaciones para el diseño de acciones de prevención e intervención que trasciendan una visión biomédica dirigidas a adultos jóvenes.
