Summary
Within the field of structural semantics, there has been a series of excellent contributions to the subject of lexical gaps (places in the lexical structure of a language where we would expect to find unity-but do not find it). The theoretical work of H. Geckeler and others, however, has not been applied systematically to the study of Latin. In this article we present a first approximation to this subject.
