This article presents the results and findings of the PuLLS (Public Libraries in the Learning Society) project, funded by the EU's Socrates programme. The article describes the aim of the project, target groups, courses, products and results achieved. Furthermore the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences between the partners throughout Europe will be described. Finally the article discusses the future roles of library staff and the libraries' shift from places where users will be actively supported in their learning and information seeking activities by library-generated content.
Dieser Beitrag stellt die Ergebnisse des PULLS (Public Libraries in the Learning Society) Projektes vor, das vom EU Socrates Programm finanziert wurde. Der Beitrag beschreibt die Ziele des Projektes, die Zielgruppen, Kurse, Produkte und die erzielten Resultate. Darüber hinaus werden die Bedeutung des ‚knowledge sharing‘ und die Erfahrungen zwischen den Partnern überall in Europa beschrieben. Abschließend wird die künftige Rolle der Bibliothekare und der Wandel der Bibliotheken von einem Ort, wo Nutzer Zugang zu Informationen haben, zu einem Ort, wo sie aktiv unterstützt werden bei ihren Lern- und Informationsbedürfnissen durch von den Bibliotheken selbst zusammengestellten Inhalten, diskutiert.
L'article présente les résultats du projet PULLS (Public Libraries in the Learning Society) qui fût financé par le programme Socrates de l'Union européenne. Y sont décrits les buts du projet, les clientèles cible, les courses, les produits et les résultats atteints. En plus l'importance du “knowledge sharing” et les experiences parmi les partenaires partout en Europe sont décrits.
A la fin on discute le rôle futur du personnel des bibliothèques et le changement des bibliothèques même en tant que lieux d'accès passifs vers un apprentissage aidé par une approche plus active de l'offre des contenus produit par la bibliothèque.
