The DC geared motors used in industrial machine and electrical equipment are required to be environmentally friendly in terms of noise during operation and how to be disposed of waste. We decided to replace the resin used in the spur (Bakelite) gear of the gearhead with wood fiber (Vulcanized fiber sheet). The verification of the basic characteristics and current rise characteristics of the motor with Vulcanized fiber sheer gear we developed and newly propose proved to be equivalent with those with the Bakelite gear normally used.
