The formula for the calculation of the velocity induced by a finite number of helical vortices was introduced by the author some time ago in this journal. Making use of this result the author put forwards here an approximative method for the calculation of the propeller charac-teristics of any number of blades. The theoretical results were finally compared with the experiment.
