Fine Structure Distribution of Immiscible Fluid at The Drop Impact to Fluid Surface

Ilinykh A. Yu.

Abstract:
The patterns of the material distribution of a drop in the target fluid in the case of the interaction of immiscible liquids are considered in wide range of drop falling height: oil drops in water, ink drops in oil and compound droplets with the core and shell of immiscible liquids. The distribution appears to be unequal, with a number of increasing voids to be observable on its surface, and the fine components (droplets, ligaments) involved in the transfer of matter are identified in all cases. Complex structure of drops with immiscible fluids for core and shell leads to formation an sectoral pattern with a number of fine parallel bands on the inner surface of the crown at the droplet impact.
