The time-dependent behavior of strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCC) is modelled by using multi-layered microplane model. The rate of total creep and shrinkage is considered the main source to influence the constitutive relation of SHCC as the creep strain could cause a structure to deform larger than expected if the load is sustained for a period of time. The formation of new cracks and time-dependent fiber pullout are considered as the significant source of time-dependent deformation of SHCC. This mechanism is formulated and simulated by using multi-layered microplane model. The simulated results are compared with experimental data.
