Gas flow rates through the inlet and each of the six outlet groups under the strong solid-like effort condition in the invasive (A) and non-invasive models (B) are depicted. The bar graph with a thin horizontal line, bar graph with a bold horizontal line, and filled bar graph in each figure indicate the low, middle, and high inlet ventilatory support conditions, respectively. The gas flow into the models was described as positive, and the gas flow out of the models was described as negative.
