For each metabolite, fold change (FC) is defined as the ratio between mean relative abundances in the compared classes. Only metabolites with p-value < 0.05 and fold changes greater than 2 or lower than 0.5 are considered to be differentially expressed in the two compared classes (orange rings). Blue dots represent metabolites with no significantly different levels in the two compared classes. Metabolites can be tracked back to identified metabolites in Table 2 through the associate ID number.
