Application of ensemble methods to analyse the decline of organochlorine pesticides in relation to the interactions between age, gender and time

Fig 5

Posterior mean OCP concentrations.

Posterior mean log-transformed concentrations of HCB, β-HCH, Trans-nonachlor, p,p’-DDE and p,p’-DDT plotted over the years 2002/03 to 2012/13 for age groups 31-45, 46-60 and >60 year olds. HCB, Trans-nonachlor and p,p’-DDE were specified by Model 2, p,p’-DDT by Model 3 and β-HCH by Model 1. Line type indicates the gender, as described in the figure legend. The light grey bands around the posterior means indicate the 95% credible interval and the dark grey bands indicate an overlap of the 95% credible intervals where there is not enough evidence for the OCP concentration. Units of OCP concentrations were in ng/g lipid.
