Absolute electron transport rates (ETR) were measured in response to increasing irradiance in C. debilis grown in naturally FeMn-poor Antarctic seawater (-FeMn, A) and to which additions of either Mn alone (-Fe, B), Fe alone (-Mn, C) or both (control, D) were given.
