Inhibitory effects of NF-κB inhibitors on IL-1β-induced prostaglandin E2 release and COX-2 mRNA expression in canine melanoma cells.

After pretreatment in the presence or absence of NF-κB inhibitors BAY11-7082 (10 μM) and TPCA-1 (10 μM) for 1 h, canine melanoma cells were further treated with or without 100 pM IL-1β for 48 or 6 h for the examination of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) release (a) or COX-2 mRNA expression (b), respectively. Values are expressed as the means ± S.E. of three independent experiments. *P < 0.05.
