The controller species E is produced by an enzymatic zero-order process from compound M. E is recycled by another zero-order process (with respect to E) but the rate of E-removal is proportional to the concentration of A. Outflow perturbations are represented by the rate r3 = k3A, where k3 is either constant or increases linearly with time.
