Average pairwise variations (V) were calculated between the normalization factors NFn and NFn+1 by geNorm software to indicate the optimum number of reference genes required for qRT-PCR data normalization. A threshold value below 0.15 indicated that the additional reference gene has no significant improvement on normalization in qRT-PCR data.
