Auranofin interferes with EGF-induced EGFR/MAPK signaling in ARPE-19 cells.

(A) ARPE-19 cells were pretreated with AF (1.0 μM) in serum free media for 12 hours, and then stimulated by 100ng/ml EGF for 0, 15, 30, and 60 minutes. Cell lysates were subjected to Western blot for phosphorylated EGFR, P38MAPK, ERK, JNK, c-Jun, MAPKAPK2, and HSP27 with respective antibodies. β-actin was used as a loading control.
