Effects of antenatal antioxidant on reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in hearts.
Hearts were isolated from adult offspring that were prenatally exposed to saline control or nicotine along without or with NAC treatment. Total ROS production in the hearts was measured with 2’,7’-dichlorodihydrofluorescein (DCF)-based quantitative assay kits. All of the data expressed as means ± SEM of animal numbers per group. Data were analyzed by 2-way ANOVA, followed by Bonferroni post-tests. *P < 0.05 vs. control.
