Intracellular retention of SCN-DOX in U-118MG cells.

U-118MG cells were first incubated with 2 µg/mL free DOX or equivalent SCN-DOX for 24 hours. Cells were then washed with PBS twice and cultured in fresh full culture medium. The same wells of cells were imaged serially at 1 h, 2 h, 4 h and 24 h after washing using fluorescence confocal microscopy. (A) Cells treated with free DOX. (B) Cells treated with SLC-DOX.
