Licopyranocoumarin and glycyrurol protected cells against MPP+-induced disappearance of mitochondrial membrane potential.
(A) NGF-differentiated PC12D cells were treated with various concentrations of licopyranocoumarin or glycyrurol in the presence of 0.3 mM MPP+ for 48 h. Collected cells were stained with JC-1 and analyzed by flow cytometry. (B) The ratio of cells exhibiting disappearance of mitochondrial membrane potential was analyzed. Values are the means of three independent experiments; bars, s.d. *p<0.05, **p<0.01 compared with MPP+ group cells.
