Lactobacillus Decelerates Cervical Epithelial Cell Cycle Progression

L. rhamnosus and L. reuteri but not L. crispatus reduced S-phase progression in ME-180 cells.

The relative BrdU incorporation of ME-180 cells that were colonized for 24 hours with each of the three Lactobacillus strains was measured. The BrdU incorporation for the ME-180 cells alone was set to 100%. The means and standard deviations from 6 experiments are shown (*indicates that p<0.05).
