VHH resistance to the major GI proteases was determined by proteolytic digestion (100 µg/mL protease, 37°C, 1 h) and SDS-PAGE densitometry analysis. Dots represent the mean (n = 3) protease resistance profile of each VHH relative to undigested controls and the black bars represent the median resistance of each group.
