A new Conservation track includes a 44-way vertebrate alignment; the subtracks display phyloP scores (in blue and red). Red arrow points to the promoter regions. The 3′-end of the genes framed in the green box. Note that the conservation of the regulatory regions across vertebrate species is evident only in the SLC6A4 locus. In contrast, in the SLC6A3 locus the only visibly prominent is the “negative” phyloP track, which score indicates accelerated evolution of the region.
