The relationship between the mass of a fragment of Quickphos aluminium phosphide, and the volume of gas it produces in the chamber shown in figure 1 has been approximated using linear regression. Regression statistics are as follows: slope = 232.48; intercept = 5.99; r2 = 0.963; n = 34.
