Artificial Contact with Mediator Rescues Expression of Trap-80–Dependent Genes

On the right, Trap-80 knock-down fibroblasts were transduced with a retrovirus driving expression of full-length p65 (blue triangles), or of a fusion of the p65 DBD with the H1 region of VP16 (p65DBD-VP16-H1; red triangles), and expression of Ip-10 mRNA was compared to wild-type (wt) and untransduced Trap-80 knock-down cells. The result is representative of five experiments. Similar fusions using both the H1 and H2 regions of VP16, or fusions to full-length p65, gave the same results (not shown).
