Abstract

An integrated twin-guide(ITG for short) laser consists of an active waveguide-layer for the laser oscillation, the light amplification and the detection etc., and an external passive waveguide through which the laser light is coupled amoung elements to each other [1]–[4]. Thus it is possible to integrate monolithically many optical elements by such structure.
