Abstract
High-power CO2 laser technology is improved with introduction of the vibrational-rotational line control in multistage multibeam amplifier systems. The physical and technical problems for this are oscillation line control, dispersion, and spectral dependence of the amplifier system dynamics such as pulse transformation and retardation, and the relaxation of vibrational-rotational levels of the GO2-N2-He mixture and its optimization. The experiments for these investigations have been performed using the eight-beam CO2 laser Lekko VIII, which was completed in 1981.1
