Abstract

We demonstrate single, solid-state pulse compression of a 49-W industrial fiber laser emitting 242-fs pulses, which can be conveniently adjusted to operate at different repetition rates to achieve > 1-GW peak power and sub-50 fs with high compression efficiency by simply translating a glass plate inside the compressor.
