Abstract

Optical parametric amplification (OPA) and high-order four-wave-mixing (FWM) are utilized for enhancing the strain and temperature sensitivity of an FBG sensor. Record performance of 13.3-pm/με strain sensitivity and 141.2-pm/°C temperature sensitivity are obtained.
