Abstract

Abstract:

Twilight Hour follows socially isolated housewife, Brigitte Bambosa in a recently reunified Germany. In her boredom, she observes an elderly couple, the Frischers, walking by her house everyday and devises plans to invite them into her house. As they become acquainted, the couple discover their political ties to Brigitte’s emotionally distant parents-in-law. The Frischers both had health issues that kept them preoccupied when the Berlin Wall came down. Brigitte Bambosa attempts to process the differences between her in-laws, who seemingly transitioned with Germany, and the Frischers, who like to keep their old memories alive.
