ELID-lap grinding was proposed for the purpose of realizing efficient grinding of hard and brittle materials, and the grinding characteristics of this method were studied. As a part of this study, we developed the lapping wheel in a radial pattern for the purpose of upgrading the grinding efficiency. In this study, WC was ground by ELID-lap grinding using this wheel and the effects of ELID on the grinding characteristics of this material were studied.
