The seeds of 80 strains belonging to five species of Brassiceae carrying A, B, C, AB and AC genomes were examined as to the chromatographic pattern of thiourea derivatives prepared from seed mustard glucoside. A specially pretreated silica gel thin-layer was used. The strains belongings to a species which have a certain genomic constitution gave a characteristic chromatogram.
