Bereavement Counseling for Gay Individuals
Abstract
Complexities and complications which confront gay bereaved, e.g., lack of societal mechanisms, sanctions, and resources to aid in the bereavement process are identified and examined. Case material is used to document and delineate these and other special considerations. Therapeutic recommendations for working with bereaved gay patients are presented.
