GENERAL PARESIS, A TOXINE DISEASE?
Abstract
In Doctor Bannister's article, "General Paresis a Toxine Disease," in the April issue, '94, it was stated that Griesinger "makes no mention of syphilis in the etiology of general paralysis." This is not strictly correct, as he does mention the view of Jessen, but only to rather discredit it. It should have read, "gives no credit to syphilis."
