The results of research on liquid crystalline polymers (LCPs) and their related materials are described. Specifically, the behavior of LCPs under electric and magnetic fields, the relationship between the structure and liquid crystalline properties of LCPs, and the development of novel LCPs such as ferroelectric LCPs and ionic LCPs are exhibited. Furthermore, the characteristics of dimeric liquid crystals, polymer-based binary liquid crystals, and polymer-liquid crystal composite films are also revealed.
