LCD diplay technolgies including both TFT-LCD flat panel displays and projection displays have had many rapid advances for human machine interface applications and have become mutibillion dollar industry worldwide. In this talk, the status of LCD display technology advances and the rapid growth of LCD display manufacturing industry in Taiwan will be presented.
