I．はじめに

　色覚不調とは，従来，色覚異常，障害，色弱，色盲などと呼ばれてきた色覚の調子の乱れをいう。

　色弱，色盲に対する日本の社会の長い根深い偏見あやまりを少しでも正したく，私は，今後，色覚不調という言葉を，色覚の調子が少しおかしいのだという程度の軽さを強調するために使つてみるつもりである。

The authors developed a new standard test for abnormal color sense. The method enables exact and quantitative appraisal of the abnor-mal color sense of the subject. Based upon findings with the method, a polychromatic theo-ry is advanced to account for the observed diversity in the degree of abnormal color sense.
