I．緒言
副腎皮質ステロイドの眼圧に及ぼす作用については従来意見があつて，眼圧を上昇せしめないとするものもあるけれども，副腎皮質ステロイドの全身，或は局所投与により緑内障をおこしたという報告もある。
先に岩田は"春季カタルと緑内障の合併についで"という演題で，第13回臨床眼科学会席上において，コーチゾンの長期点眼を行つた春季カタルに発生した慢性緑内障の3症例について報告したが，最近Goldmann （1962）は長期間強力な副腎皮質ステロイドの局所療法により一見正常眼に起つた慢性緑内障5例につきcortisone glauco—maという病名で報告している。然し従来報告例のうちにはコーチゾンのみならず各種副腎皮質ステロイド剤の全身或は局所使用により起つた緑内障例が報告されているから，今日一般に本剤投与によつて発生したと思われるiatrogenicの疾患をsteroid diabetes,steroid ulcer,steroidcataract等呼ぶのにならいsteroid glaucoma或はcorticosteroid glaucomaと呼びたいと思う。
Case of glaucoma induced by systemic or local application of corticosteroids were re-viewed and considered to be named "steroid glaucoma."
1) 5 cases of steroid glaucoma after pro-longed use of topical corticosteroids were reported. 4 cases of them occurred in vernal conjunctivitis and the other in rosacea kera-titis.
2) The type of glaucoma was either chro-nic or acute. In some cases the intraocular pressure normalised after cessation of steroid theraphy.
