In the first part of the paper the versatility of the silver halide photographic process are discussed in detail. In the last part several data about the gross productive activity of the Japanese manufactures of photographic materiamls such as the turnout of the silver halide photograpic material comparing those in 1971 against those in 1962, development of exports and inports of the photographic materials in a recent decade.
