ABSTRACT
This paper reports on the design, implementation and evaluation of an online professional development course on climate change education with secondary school science teachers from Spain. The course was an adaptation of a training concept that was developed as a result of a review of the state of climate education in European countries and beyond, and included readings, videos, self-assessment activities, and assignments. 65 teachers participated in the training, and produced climate education resources such as learning scenarios and reflective essays. The paper reports on the results, the drop-out rate and the lessons learnt.
