ABSTRACT
Recently, multi-agent systems have been widely applied to navigation, military simulation, transportation control, intelligent robotics, and other fields due to their great effectiveness, fault tolerance, and robustness. This paper firstly introduces the definition and development history of containment control for multi-agent systems, and briefly reviews some common containment control approaches. Then, the recent developments in containment control of multi-agent systems are summarized from the perspective of different convergence time. Furthermore, the future prospects and directions of containment control in multi-agent systems are summarized.
