Abstract
Interactions is a timely new quarterly magazine of applied human-computer interaction (as it influences system, hardware and software design). It will provide practicing members of the user interface, software, and systems design/development communities with access to the leading practices in the computer-human interface field. The magazine provides timely and useful information about the design, implementation and evaluation of interactive systems and user interface tools, techniques, and products.

Proxemic Cursor Interactions for Touchless Widget Control
SUI '23: Proceedings of the 2023 ACM Symposium on Spatial User InteractionTouchless gesture interfaces often use cursor-based interactions, where widgets are targeted by a movable cursor and activated with a mid-air gesture (e.g., push or Pinch). Continuous interactions like slider manipulation can be challenging in mid-air ...
Causal interactions
CHI '14: Proceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing SystemsIn this paper we present two design guidelines, causal order and continuity, to be used as rules of thumb for designing intuitive interactions based on principles of causal reasoning. We propose that designing interactions to behave like real-world ...
Vision-based projected tabletop interface for finger interactions
HCI'07: Proceedings of the 2007 IEEE international conference on Human-computer interactionWe designed and implemented a vision-based projected table-top interface for finger interaction. The system offers a simple and quick setup and economic design. The projection onto the tabletop provides more comfortable and direct viewing for users, and ...
