This paper analyzes differences of private housing project between in China and Japan from the view point of cost planning. In case of China, particularly in Beijing, most of residents are moving out from the project sites receiving compensation which amounts to 450 thousands JPY for one household in average. In comparison with the case in Japan, it takes much more money in China to compensate the residents for removal from inner areas to urban fringes.
