Vaccination against rubella: official policy

Abstract

We discussed rubella vaccine in our issue of July 17 (p 59). The Department of Health has now asked local health authorities to arrange for girls between 11 – 14 years of age to be vaccinated with it. Vaccination should begin as soon as possible after the summer holidays this year and the vaccine will be supplied to local authorities free of charge up to 31 March, 1971. After that date it will have to be bought from commercial sources.
