Abstract

The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria varroae isolated from soil samples collected at Gara Mountain, north Iraq was identified based on morphological characteristics and analysis of the ITS-rDNA region. The species is hitherto known from Portugal, France and Switzerland as well as Iran and Turkey and recorded here for the first time for Iraq.
