Abstract
Ostracods, foraminifers, miospores and dinocysts from the Shusha Formation, Gabal El Maghara, Sinai, suggest a Bajocian age as based on comparison with coeval sediments in and outside Egypt. Deposition of the Shusha Formation took place on a shallow, probably somewhat restricted, continental shelf as indicated by the microfloras (dinocysts, acritarchs, tasmanitids) and microfaunas (ostracods, benthic foraminifers, echinoderm remains, small pelecypods and gastropods.).
