The serum total cholesterol level of about 800 cases were statistically investigated in the relation to their various kind of clinical medical findings. It is concluded as following:
1) The group, in which peripheral arteriosclerosis was distinctly observed by palpation, showed a higher serum total cholesterol level on the average than the group without sclerosis.
2) The group, of which by chest x-ray examination sclerosis of aorta was distinctly observed, comparatively showed a higher serum cholesterol level than the other group.
3) The group of the patients, who were diagnosed as of having cerebrovascular complications, showed higher total serum cholesterol level on the average than the other of the patients.
4) The group, who were proved as being urinary protein positive, showed on the average a higher total cholesterol level than the negative group.
5) The group, which was found to have an abnormal Phenolsulphonephthalein test, showed a higher serum total cholesterol on the average than the normal group.
6) The group, which showed abnormal in Fischberg's urine concentlation test showed a higher serum total cholesterol level on the average than the normal group.
